Week of November 16th
This week, students will begin to work on teacher genealogies. This project gives students the opportunity to become 'professional' genealogists and to work with and learn about records outside their own family research. They will also continue to conduct oral interviews, transcribe interviews and compile research.
I have also set the date for our field trip to the New Bedford Public Library and City Hall for Thursday, December 3rd. Students will leave the building by 8:30 and will return to campus by the end of the day. We are planning to eat lunch at No Problemo, next to the library. If your son / daughter has food allergies, please email me before the trip if you have specific rules for restaurants. I will also speak to those students who have allergies so that we can make a plan ahead of time. Please return the permission slip and checks (ten dollars) made out to ORR this week. Also, make sure that students bring additional money for lunch. If you would like to chaperone, please email me. All chaperones need to go through the CORI process ahead of time.
